Surfer Girl supports SOUL SURF PROJECT BALI
A beautiful piece of art arrived this morning at Surfer Girl’s office. A painting made by a little girl name Mimi. She made the painting along with orphans from Benih Harapan Orphanage during a class of Rae Vavra, a mixed media artist from Los Angeles (USA). The paintings were then sold in an auction during an art show on 18th of December 2009. Soul Surf Project Bali have bought one of the paintings and sent it to Surfer Girl as a New Year gift :-)
Soul Surf Project Bali is a program dedicated to creating awareness about the environment issues and how they can contribute themselves to make Bali a cleaner and healthier place to live in. The kids first need to follow environmental lessons and do a beach-clean up, at the end they will be rewarded with free surf lessons. By being in the elements of Mother Nature, they will learn to respect it. On a regular basis the kids can also participate in surf-yoga or in making art (inspired by nature and surfing). Important is that the program Soul Surf Project Bali offers is always FUN!
